The Savoy seems to have been rehabbed recently. It is conveniently located just a few steps away from Hayarkon St and the beach and 10 mns by foot from Dizengoff. I booked a standard room as I was traveling alone on a business trip. Although I arrived late, the service at the check-in was more than friendly. The room on the second floor had a small balcony that was facing a neighboring building, so if you are there for the view, make sure to book one of the rooms on the upper floors. The room was rather small, leaving not much space around the big an very comfortable bed. As I did not spend my days in the room, this was no problem for me. The bathroom has a shower and no bathtub, but that's okay for me, I even prefer it. The design of the room as of the lobby is modern and very nice. Wooden surfaces, black and white. It's a matter of taste, but if you are not after thick carpets and furniture like from an English palace, this is probably what you are looking for. A large flat screen with Sat TV is mounted onto the wall. The breakfast is Israeli style with a wide range of salads, fish, dairy products, cheese, fruit, croissants, different types of bread and jam as well as selected hot beverages + orange juice. I found the atmosphere in the bright lobby so nice that I worked there on my laptop for several hrs instead of going to my room. As a business traveler, but also if you are traveling for leisure, I highly appreciated that WIFI is available throughout the hotel for free. Newspapers are available in the lobby, and if you need any advice, the person at the counter in the lobby will always provide you with friendly and competent answers.
