Good design and location, tiny claustrophobic room

Posted by Linda

While I liked the modern design and central location of this hotel, the room was so tiny and claustrophobic that I could not recommend this hotel, especially if staying for more than 1 or 2 nights. Unfortunately I stayed for 5 nights, and by Day 2 was experiencing feelings of severe claustrophobia and felt as if the room was closing in on me (this is the first time I have ever felt this way, I would not consider myself a claustrophobic typically). You could barely pass between the bed and the desk, the 'view' opened up to the wall and air conditioning units of an old adjacent building a few feet away, and when I sat down on the toilet my shoulders were uncomfortably squeezed between the glass shower on one side and sink on the other (I am of small to medium build). The manager while seemingly friendly to other visitors took no pity on my when I told her I was feeling extremely claustrophobic in my room and did not offer to accommodate me in a larger room. I felt extremely relieved when my 5 day trip was over.
