Kibbutz Ein Gedi

Posted by Jenny

This kibbutz hotel had both good and bad characteristics. Check-in service was not helpful. The room for our family of 4 was not ready when we arrived, and the receptionist told us to wait in the lobby for half an hour rather than returning later. Half an hour turned into almost 2 wasted hours of being ignored, and our requests were responded to rudely, when we could have been swimming or exploring the kibbutz with the kids. At least we made friends with several others who were also made to wait too. For the price, the room, while clean and well decorated, was extremely cramped for 4 of us, and the facilities were basic. The location and environment were superb. The botanical gardens were beautiful. The views were wonderful. Staff, except for the receptionist, were helpful and friendly. A particular highlight was the dining room - the food was attractively presented, fresh, healthy, varied and appetizing.

This review is the subjective opinion of the hotel's guest and not of inisrael.com
