Great setting

amidst a beautiful oasis. Easy-going atmosphere, fantastic food! Great dinner and breakfast buffet (better than many I have previously sampled) with reasonable variety, but the outstanding factor is, that all the buffet food actually TASTES GREAT and FRESH and the buffet gets constantly replenished, unlike most chain hotel buffets... Great, efficient, friendly and no-nonsense service in the dining room. I am not a friend of buffets, but this one at Ein Gedi I really enjoyed. Rooms are dated and badly need overhaul/revamp, especially the bathrooms. However, they are tidy and reasonably clean and beds are comfortable though. Nice compound with lots of trees and plants and cute kittens. Nice, ample size pool and great location between the Dead Sea and Ein Gedi Nature Reserve. No high rise in sight! You get the real Dead Sea experience here, for those you don't need artificial entertainment! It initially feels a bit like at a boyscout/ymca camp but it's really a great place if you like to unwind, feel relaxed and don't need unnecessary luxuries.
