remarkable setting

The best reason to stay here is the lush and exotic environment which the kibbutz has created: a veritable oasis in the most inhospitable desert. The biggest negative point is the rather rustic level of comfort of the hotel room & bathroom for the price we paid . Everything else was top-notch. Don't expect too much activity at night here: it's deep country. Great pool. Excellent food. Friendly and helpful service. Most remarkable, however, was the prescience of the founders of this kibbutz who planted some of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring plants and trees from around the world, not to mention the hard work of the inhabitants who have kept the grounds verdant and blooming in the harshest environment imaginable, the Dead Sea Valley.
