Kibbutz Ein Guedi

Posted by Marie-Claude

Because we did not have a car, this kibbutz was the best solution to take advantage of the sightseeings in Ein Guedi and at the Dead Sea. However I would not advise to stay there if you have a car because the quality of this hotel (it doesn't look like a kibbutz) doesn't correspond to the prices = we had the very bad experience to be waked up exactly at... 6 am from builders who start to renovate a building about ... 3 meters from our "bungalow". As we claimed at the reception, the staff included manager opened big eyes saying that they had not been informed before from the builders that they would start so early in the morning !!! Moreover, many guests seemed to have something to claim about the hotel at the reception. Finally, you can take advantage of all sightseeings (Massada, swimming in the Dead Sea, walking in the natural reserve) without staying in this expensive Kibbutz. Therefore why paying so much money? The condition is to have a car on the spot.

Dear Marie Claude It seems to me the temporary renovations at our hotel truly hamppered your morning and ultimatelly your stay with us.Upon request,we would have been happy to switch your room.Again we appologize for any inconvenience. Im sure you'll find that our prices are in-line with other hotels in the immediate area.We also offer many sightseeing tours which leave from the hotel lobby to Massada,Nahal Daveed the Ancient Synagogue etc. BTW public transportation(buses)from Jerusalem and Tel Aviv stop at Hotel Lobby.
