A beautiful spot on the Dead Sea

Posted by Stephen

The Ein Gedi Country resort hotel is on the beautiful grounds of the Ein Gedi kibbutz. It is actually located within a botanical garden and the grounds are wonderful. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The breakfast and dinner buffets are excellent. There is free access to the Ein Gedi Spa, for which you either need a car or can use the hotel shuttle to reach-- it is too far to walk comfortably. The spa is not luxurious and may be disappointing to those who are into such things, but I just used it to do the obligatory float in the Dead Sea, so it was just fine for that. While there, be sure to visit the Ein Gedi Nature Reserve just down the highway (again, you need a car for access). There is an easy and beautiful walk to waterfalls and there are many hyraxes and ibex to be seen.

Hi Stephen, Thank you for your comments. I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us. I just wanted to clarify that there is a shuttle which leaves from our lobby once a week to the Nature reserve and it is free. Also,As you may well know a shuttle leaves the lobby of our hotel every hour to the Spa (also free) Hope to see you again Ilan Sonderling-Guest Relations Manager
