The location with the awesome botanical garden, the mountains in the back and the dead sea in front are absolute unique. We had a Standard Botanical Garden room, which was quite run down: curtains hanging down, wall painting chipping off,the bed with a hard matress uncomfortable, the bathroom shabby and on our arrival not really clean (hair, dust etc). But during our stay the room was cleaned daily and in a much better way. The rooms are not soundproof, especially windows are so thin that people talking walking by seem to be in the room, walls are not the problem. But the rooms are lovely located in the garden with a small terrace in front with chairs and a table. Rooms are equipped with aircon, fridge, water kettle and safe. The swimming pool is awesome: surrounded by all kind of trees with a lovely view. (Deck-)Chairs and enough shady areas. There is also a bar, but sadly it's not open throughout the day and also the pool closes already at 18h. There is a bar area in the garden which is opened the whole day until late and serves not only drinks but also snacks like salads and sandwiches. The dining room is spacious and seems to be newly renovated. A big buffet area with all kinds of salads and veggies as well as warm meat/ fish dishes and a dessert buffet at dining time. For breakfast there is also a huge range of warm and cold dishes, cereals, bread, fruits and juices. The staff was at all time polite and most of them friendly and helpful. We really had a great time there especially as the location is gorgeous and there are many things you can do there: Ein Gedi Spa, Massada, hiking tours, David waterfalls and so on. On the down side is the somewhat run down room for an upmarket price and that there is not so much you can do on evenings.
