As usual, I was delighted by Ein Gedi and the friendly people there, and will be happy to visit again. An especially impressive event was the piano and violin concert performed by two famous music professors on a Saturday. I just had 2 problems worth mentioning: a) the construction work was sometimes disturbing, as several construction areas were effective at the same time. I especially wonder why the walkway from the Arugot complex to the restaurant had to be blocked by a metal fence for 3.5 weeks of my stay in Ein Gedi, while no obvious construction work was going on inside. b) Food: I am allergic against garlic and onions, and must not eat them. While I found enough food without these items in former years, this years it was sometimes impossible to get as decent dinner as on some days every warm item and most salads contained garlic, even the rice. As I am not the only person who is allergic against these foods or does not like them, it might be better to have some foods without them available, and maybe have an additional spicy dressing than can be added individually. It was positive this year that there was a wireless internet access in the room. Sometimes, especially in the evening, the collection was very slow and broke down repeatedly; it might be better to have a stronger connecion.
