My Stay

Posted by Cara

I found the rooms to be extremely over priced for what they are. Front desk service was amazing. I think the young girl that checked us in was named Amanda? She was very professional. Dinner was not worth 100 shekels. The food was mediocre and the service was non existant. I think we saw our waitress once and that was when she was bringing us drinks. When we were leaving, the older lady at the entrance was on the phone. I had a question for her and she rudely asked me "what do you want?" I just walked away. Breakfast on the other hand was delicious, but again no service. Service in the lobby area took forever and when we wanted to pay our server was to busy having a conversation with a friend, that I had to be rude and ask if they could talk about their lives after I pay. I realize it is a hotel run my kibbutz members and so has the mentality of a kibbutz, but if you are charging the prices you do for rooms, then the service should exceed ones expectations and unfortunately it didn't. The spa was also a bit of a disappointment. Found it was a little dirty (indoor sulphur pools) and when a woman came into the pool with a massive cut on her leg, dripping blood, I jumped out and could not bring myself to go again. The mud was fun and the actual beach on the dead sea was great.
