On the positive side: The resort is a real botanical garden created by the kibbuts, so it is very pleasant to walk around and explore different plants. The food is superb, both breakfast and dinner. Meals are buffet style with great variety, breakfast is included in the rate, although the dinner is a bit on the expensive side. The downs are the following: The hotel itself is not easy to find coming on the highway from the North as there is another exit named Ein Gedi. Once we found the right exit, we spent quite some time driving and walking around the resort looking for the reception as there are no directing signs whatsoever. The reception staff was very nice, although he gave us the key to a wrong room, as we found out later: we were three, and we got a room set up for two people. When we went back to request additional bedding and towels, we found out that we were registered in one room, but got the key to another. The person who came to fix the third bed was very weird, started to discuss politics with us in which we were the least interested, and refused to bring a pillow for the third bed telling us to share from the four pillows we already had. The room itself was basic but good, but the bathroom is VERY dated making the value for money not very high. However, there is new construction going on at the resort, so there should be brand new rooms available soon.
