Great Hotel in Ein Gedi Kibbutz

This hotel has different types of rooms - from the very simple to the most recently renovated. I wish the website had more clearly indicated that the simple rooms were really simple and a bit outdated with a really old bathroom and beds and TV. Upon arrival we were not happy with the room we were given (100 numbers) and asked to change to one of the most recent rooms. We were given a more recent room that was a lot better (300 numbers). The really nice rooms (renovated really recently - 400 and 500 numbers) were all occupied. The hotel has 2 spas. To go to the old spa you need to get a piece of paper from the hotel reception and then take a bus from the hotel. The facilities of the old spa are quite outdated. The new spa is located on the hotel grounds and is superb! Really beautiful views of the mountains and the dead sea and very modern facilities. However, we felt that at the hotel reception we were not given enough information about the new spa and all the treatments they offer. What was also not clear is that certain rooms give you free access to the spa (we are guessing the rooms with 300, 400, 500 numbers) while the others do not. This should be made more clear to clients at the reception and at reservation time. The new spa should be advertised better. The food buffet was marvelous and the landscape beautiful. The buffet personnel was very friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a great time in this beautiful place but just felt that communication should be improved and things more clearly explained to foreign tourists.

This review is the subjective opinion of the hotel's guest and not of inisrael.com
